Mini Organizing Training
Nov 3 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
It is here! The draft 100% Renewable Energy plan for Slocan, RDCK, Nelson, Rossland, New Denver, Silverton, Castlegar, Warfield and Kaslo is out. Next month these local government’s are hosting public webinars to get your communities input, and by December, we want each of these local government’s to officially adopt the final plan.
This training is based on the Engagement Organizing model that was used in Obama’s 2008 campaign where 1000s of volunteers came together and won. This model is now used by organizations all across the country! Looking forward to working with you!

A New Relationship with Forests: Nature-based Planning @ Zoom online webinar
Nov 19 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Herb Hammond will guide a new form of conversation about the forestry industry and how we live along side the current framing between humans and nature, a framing which so often influences politics, industry practices and our daily decision making. Herb will focus on nature based planning, something that can only be executed correctly when we firstly focus on how we frame the relationship between humans and nature. To do this, Herb will use examples in forestry management to demonstrate how things could change if we look at our relationship with nature with a different lense.
